Julie Incorvina (partner) has just recently become a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner). Having a CFE she will be responsible for resolving a wide range of allegations of fraud and white-collar crime. She now has the expertise to obtain evidence; take statements; and write reports; testify to findings; and assist in all aspects of detecting and preventing white-collar crime. This will allow us to widen our services to our clients should the need arise.
Our newest addition to our family of companies is our Financial Planning group, Redwitz Wealth Management. We can now offer a full range of investment advisory services suited to each client’s specific needs in the following areas: Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Insurance Planning, Estate Planning, Asset Allocation, Investment management, tax Planning, Long Term Care, Pension Plans, and Business Planning. Eugene O’Brien, CFA is our Managing Partner and comes to us from UBS Global Asset Management. He held positions there such as CIO and COO after initially joining UBS to provide their private client group with investment solutions. In addition to Eugene, Jennifer Riva-Kirk (Redwitz & Co. partner) is also a partner in the Redwitz Wealth Management Group and received her Series 7 license in order to practice as a general securities representative.
A New Service we are Offering:
The GDR Group has just recently introduced a new service to their clients called Remote Back Up and Restore. For those of you who were at the St. Louis AGN meeting you might recall Bruce Greenberg one of my partners, who shared this information with you. Briefly, here is a synopsis of what GDR can do for your company.
This new service will allow companies to use a disk-based solution that takes full advantage of what disks offer without the limitations of tape. Companies can now protect all of their data, including data distributed across remote offices and laptops in an offsite, secure data center that runs automatically, so you never have to remember to put the tape! For more information regarding this new service, please contact us!
How the AGN Network works for us:
During an AGN meeting in Berlin I met Serge Gautier from Groupe DSA in Paris. Over the last couple of years Serge and I have become good friends. He and his family have traveled to California to visit and my wife and I have gone to Paris to visit them. This summer Serge sent his two children to come stay with us, and to work with us at Robert R. Redwitz & Co. / The GDR Group, so that they could converse more and be emerged in English. Elodie who is 18 is working for the Accounting side, and Florian who is 20 is working for the IT side. They are doing a fabulous job and we are having a wonderful time taking them around to different places in California and introducing them to new sites. We’ll be sad to see them go at the end of August!
The “warm & fuzzies” :
On January 22nd 2005 our firm celebrated its 30th Anniversary! To celebrate we had a party for our employees and 28 of our clients whom have been with us since the beginning. The party was held in Newport Beach, California on a Hornblower Yacht that took us on a tour of the Newport Beach Harbor while we had a very nice sit down dinner, danced to a 9 piece band and toasted the night away. As a gift to all of our clients we gave the men “Bean” cufflinks from Tiffany’s and the women “Bean” necklaces from Tiffany’s. This gift was meant to not only coincide with the term “Bean Counters” but the “Bean” itself symbolized “from the beginning.” Therefore it was a very meaningful gift in every sense of the word. It was a wonderful celebration in honor of our clients. For without them, we wouldn’t be who we are today.
